The NSPCC’s PANTS concept is a fantastic age-appropriate, child-friendly way to talk to children about staying safe from sexual abuse - without ever using scary words or even mentioning sex. But they needed to reach more parents and children. That’s whyI came up with the idea for Pantosaurus, a singing, pants-wearing dinosaur, whose catchy song was a great way of breaking the ice and helping more children learn its vital message .
Pantosaurus was a huge hit, not only did we get over 2.2 million views on YouTube of Pantosaurus and his PANTS song but we also helped to make over 600,000 children safer. Pantosaurus is also now on the back of police vans, as a cuddly toy in Matalan stores and he’s even run the London marathon!
The campaign won the Marketing Society’s Not-For-Profit Excellence award and was listed by WARC as one of the top 100 most effective campaigns globally.
